Life on the Mississippi

A true American classic, Mark Twain’s Life on the Mississippi was originally published in 1883, loosely based on Twain’s adventures as a as a young man working along the mighty Mississippi River, eventually becoming a steamboat pilot.  Part comedy, part travel log, see if you can distinguish fact from tall tale in this book that's stood the the test of time, and has even been adapted for film and musical theater.

The group will meet on Wednesday, December 9, in Room 122.  Bring your lunch!

Books are available in the library, but free ebooks can be found at:  gutenberg.org

And free audio at:  librivox.org
