The World Until Yesterday

How has human kind evolved over the last 11,000 years?  What caused our modern societies to develop the way they did?

Author Jared Diamond, Pulitzer prizewinning author, professor and scientist, explores these very deep questions, and many more, in this exhaustive undertaking.

Join the WMCC lunchtime book group as we discuss The World Until Yesterday.  We'll meet on Thursday, March 10th, at noon, in Room 122.  Copies of the book and audio are available in the library.

Bring your lunch!

Need help? Try the library!

WMCC's Fortier Library is a great first stop for assistance of all kinds.

Sure, you can check out books, but you can also do so much more. You can print papers, find out what MLA style is, or find materials that your instructor left on their Reserve shelf.  You can borrow items from other libraries, reserve study rooms for study group sessions, and find ideas for a tough assignment.  Want to listen to audio books on your long commute?  We've got some.  Want to chill with a dvd over the weekend?  We've got those too.  You'd be surprised at all the materials we've got!

Stop by and meet our library staff, walk around the space, hang out with Hector (our resident grapefruit tree).  The library is here for you!  Let us know what you need; contact us in person, by phone, and even by email.  We look forward to seeing you!
