Acclaimed Scottish author and poet Robert Louis Stevenson wrote
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in 1886, which became an immediate hit on both sides of the Atlantic. Since then, its popularity hasn't wavered, with cultural references, plays, films, tv shows, and many audio adaptations too.
