Enjoy A Classic

“Books--oh! no. I am sure we never read the same, or not with the same feelings."

"I am sorry you think so; but if that be the case, there can at least be no want of subject. We may compare our different opinions.”                                        Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

In 1813, Jane Austen published her masterpiece, Pride and Prejudice, which has arguably become her her most famous book.

Take this opportunity to read and discuss the classic that still inspires 200 years later as it is quoted, reproduced, and retold repeatedly in print and film.

Copies of the book are available in the library, and electronic books and audios can be downloaded for free from a number of online sources (book: www.gutenberg.org and audio: www.classicly.com).

Meet the lunchtime discussion group at noon in room 122 on Thursday, February 27, to discuss this timeless work. Bring your lunch!
