New Hampshire's Old Man
In 2003, New Hampshire citizens mourned the loss of one of its own, the Old Man of the Mountain, when, after years of assistance, the familiar profile fell from its lofty perch in Franconia Notch.
On May 23rd, at 7 p.m., White Mountains Community College (WMCC) and the Berlin Public Library will host scholar Maggie Stier as she presents her program, The Old Man of the Mountain: Substance and Symbol.
The event will be held in the WMCC's Fortier Library. Light refreshments will be served.
This event is funded, in part, by the NH Humanities
Council, with additional funding from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation – North Country Region.
