The White Mountains Community College is pleased to announce its Fall offerings for the

Certificate in Library Technology program.

This certificate program is designed for paraprofessionals entering the field

and continuing education to those already employed.

Fall offerings include:

Foundations in Library Science

Introduction to Technical Services

Management & Teamwork

Children’s Language and Literature

Software Applications

Registration is free and open!

Fall classes start August 27.

Remember, we're here for you if you need space to work, use a computer, scanner, printer, copier.  You can still check out books, dvds, audio books, magazines, and access interlibrary loan materials too.  

Even after you graduate, you are always welcome here!

Sunday, April 22nd, is Earth Day!  

Celebrate the one thing that links all life as we know it, by learning more about it.  The Fortier Library has books about our planet's geology, plant and animal life, as well as information our neighbors in the solar system. 

We also have materials for all ages about how to care for our planet with technology and renewable energy sources, and about how to clean up our messes--what mother doesn't love that?!

Celebrate spring and April with a book of poetry!  WMCC's Fortier Library has a "Poetry Tree" display full of books waiting to be picked and enjoyed.

Kick the habit of sitting all day and join us in the library to try out our desk treadmill and standing desk! Our walking desk is a treadmill with a sturdy work surface that easily supports a laptop, textbook and other electronic devices. Our adjustable standing desk supports a laptop or textbook for standing while you study! Made possible by a community grant from the Gorham Walmart.

February Love

February is celebrated for Valentine's day, chocolates, pink hearts and love.   Visit the Fortier Library and our diverse display of books about love--the good, the funny, the fantasy and the reality.  Mostly, we want you to know that love shouldn't hurt.

White Mountains Community College promotes sexual assault awareness and prevention every day, but especially through the month of February, we are highlighting Dating Violence Awareness Month.  Check out our library display, to learn more about sexual abuse.

Contact the agencies below for more information or assistance about dating violence or sexual assault.  And know, that if you need assistance, you can talk to any WMCC administrator, faculty or staff member.  We're here to help!
